With a passion for effortless, elevated hair and makeup, our founder Maria Cristina brings insights and techniques developed over more than 13-years of working with high-profile clients in New York and LA.

A certified cosmetologist, Maria’s career began at the New York Plaza’s renowned Warren Tricomi salon before becoming a freelance artist for Bobbi Brown. After training at Bobbi’s exclusive makeup studio in Montclair, New Jersey, Maria developed her signature “undone, never overdone” technique that focuses on creating looks that are radiant and impactful, yet appear natural to the naked eye.

Since then, Maria has led hair and makeup teams at New York Fashion Week and her work has appeared in publications including Vogue Italia, Serendipity Magazine, and Greenwich Magazine.

Today, Maria leads BBMC in our mission to show women how to embrace and enhance their natural beauty, creating enduring yet understated looks that sets aside the search for ‘perfection’ to transform models, brides, and talent into ethereal versions of their true selves.

                    After we review your client application and confirm that we’re the right fit, we’ll invite you to share more about your goals and vision. Even if you don’t have a clear idea of what you’re looking for, this consultation allows us to get to know more about you and lays a foundation for an end result that truly aligns with your needs.
                
                   Following the consultation, we’ll conduct our own research and will start to define possible approaches. We’ll consider multiple elements: from physical features and personality to the event location and expected lighting. For brides, we’ll learn more about the designer of your dress, while for commercial clients, we’ll focus on your campaign goals and target audience.
                
                    During this stage, we’ll define the final direction for hair and makeup. For bridal clients, this includes the creation of a moodboard that presents a vision of the hair, makeup, and dress for the big day. Our intention is to always define a direction that aligns with the model, bride, or talent and ensures that their unique beauty shines through.
                
                    This is where the artistry happens. As with every step of our process, our focus is on ensuring that everyone we serve feels comfortable and confident before, during, and after. On the day of your shoot, wedding, or event we’ll follow a predefined schedule to bring the final direction to life. When complete, we can also be on hand to provide touch-ups so that you can continue looking and feeling like the best version of you.
